Here's a trailer for one of the episodes! Hope you enjoy!
Hey guys! So for today’s blog post I’m going to talk about a show that I came across of called, Mysteries At The Museum. This show, I feel, is extremely intriguing. This show talks about different types of things found at museums and the secrets what it hides. One episode that I liked in particular was an episode that talked about a chisel. Now this isn’t any chisel, this chisel was used to steal the 16th president, Abraham Lincoln’s dead body. The story was that a group of bandits made a plan to steal the body of Abe Lincoln, but none of them knew how to do steal a body that was already in a grave. Then they met a man who said he had done this before and that he could help them. The bandits and the man made the plans. Then the night came, they were all set to steal the body and all they needed to do was break the padlock to get to the sarcophagus which held the president’s coffin. They used that same chisel to break the padlock and they used it to open the sarcophagus. They all tried to carry the coffin but realized that it was too heavy for them to carry so the man went to get the carriage driver and left the bandits there to wait. All of a sudden the bandits here a gunshot and quickly make a hasty retreat because they thought that the police caught the man. The next day they went down to “the hub” which is where the bandits met, and they saw that the man, who they had thought got shot by police, was there. A few minutes later police came in and arrested everyone in there, except for the man. Turns out the man was Lewis Swegles, and he worked with The Secret Service all along. As you can see this show is super intriguing! I really recommend that you watch this show, it’s on Netflix by the way. Anyway thanks for reading and hope you enjoyed! Talk to you next week! BYE!!!!! :)

Hey guys! So the end of the school year is nearing which means it's time to pick out a video we're all going to show at the annual CKTV Media family night. This night is where we show work that we do and kind of talk about what CKTV does. So the video that I want to show at the family night this year is my first quarter project on Microbead pollution. I did this video with my partner Serena, and here's why:
Firstly, I personally feel that this is the best quarter project that I have done this year. We worked so hard on this and it came out FANTASTIC! We have some pretty clean shots, nice transitions, and we had a pretty good topic (thanks dad!) I really liked how this whole video turned out.
Secondly, this video got a good grade. I’m really proud of the grade that this video got. We got an A- for this project. That’s good grade in my book. And yeah it could have had some work on it but, still I think that it was a great project.
And lastly, I feel that this really shows the things and what we really do here in CKTV. We find these stories, we film B-roll, get and film interviews, edit, and put together these stories. This is hard work but, in the end it is totally worth it! I love this class!
These are three reasons why I want to show this video. I love this class. It teaches so many things to help you make films, create stories, and do little things like PSAs. Thanks for reading and hope you enjoyed! Talk to you later BYE!!!!!!!!! :)
Hey guys! So for today’s blog post I’m going to talk about a movie called The Theory of Everything. I only watched the movie trailer but I can already tell that this movie is so touching. If you don’t know what this movie is about well, it’s about a man named Stephen Hawking. Still confused? Well, Stephen Hawking was a brilliant man who made up the second law of black hole dynamics. He also went through a disease called Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, also commonly known as ALS. This disease targets nerves, the spine, and brain. What this specifically does is it makes the muscles stop working. Stephen also had another disease called, Pneumonia. This affected his breathing and had to go to the hospital and get help. His speech was removed while doing this. With his speech gone he had to figure out another way to share his ideas to other scientists. He got a machine made for him which made him be able to share his ideas. This is an extremely touching story that is shown through this movie. You truly have to watch the trailer. I can’t wait to watch this movie. Anyway thanks for reading and hope you enjoyed. Talk to you later, BYE!!!!!!!! :)
Hey guys! So for today’s blog post I’m going do a project update. This is project update is going to be on Nicole and my fourth quarter project. Our video is going to star the song, Little Too Much by: Shawn Mendes. Our topic is going to be about Cyber-Bullying. So where do I think we are? I think we’re on track. And here’s why: 1) we finished our script 2) we have most of our actors/actresses. I do have to say that we still have some stuff to do like, finding our male actor.
The first reason why I think that we are on track is because our script is completed. Our script has the duration of each shot (thank gosh Nicole is a math wizard, because I can not do that kind of math. It would literally take me a year to figure those things out.) And we have all our shots down, and all angles we want to film them in.
The second reason why I think that we are on task is because we have our actress. In a music video, or any other video that needs an actor or actress it is extremely important that you find you actors/actresses ahead of time. I know from experience that if you can’t find your actors and a decent time, you’re putting yourself into trouble.
Sadly, we don’t have our male actor. This song is sung by a male and we don’t have a male actor to lip-sync. This is the thing that doesn’t makes us ahead of the game. I do know that we will have him soon though. We need to get him soon.
So I do think that we are on task but, we have some things to get done in order to make us ahead of the game. Thanks for reading and hope you enjoyed! Talk to you later, BYE!!!!! :)
Hey guys! So for today’s blog post I’m going to talk about the 2015 version of Cinderella trailer. If you haven’t already seen the original Cinderella then I definitely think that you should watch it. What I like about this movie is the fact that it takes a Disney classic and turns it into more of a realistic movie (actors/actresses act in it.) This movie looked like it took a lot special effects, because of the fact that includes magic. The trailer was also incredible! It shows the magic, and the drama without giving too much away, even though it’s a remake of a movie that everyone knows.
Here’s the trailer:

Hey guy! So as you guy probably know the CKTV students and chaperones came back to Kauai not too long ago. I loved this trip especially because I got to meet so many new people and I roomed with different people. So today’s blog topic is “what are the top three different things I experienced on the trip.” My top three things that I experienced on this years’ trip are 1. I got to meet my pen pal 2. the STN dance 3. going to the Petco Park.
The first thing that I really liked on this years’ trip to STN was getting to meet my pen pal. This year we got to meet our pen pals at the Old Spaghetti Factory. I sat next to Nicole and across of my pen pal, Alex. Alex was really nice and very social. I’m glad I got to meet her!
The next thing that I really enjoyed was the STN party or dance. This was my first “dance” because STN didn’t have this last year. I really liked this dance because I danced a lot and there was some fun activities on the side. Also this was a big bonding moment for all of the CKTV students. People hung out with other people that they wouldn’t normally hang out with, and some of us exchanged dance moves (Alaysia).
The last thing that I really liked on this trip was going to Petco Park. I’ve never been a big fan of baseball, but I really liked seeing all the behind the scene things they do. This place also had some history to tell like, the building that is the gift shop, is the Western Metal Supply CO. and that building is still has it’s original bricks, windows, and more! Don’t you find that SUPER COOL!!!!
In conclusion I loved this trip. I got to meet new people, go to new places, and get to know everyone better. I also got to hang out with all the 8th graders on their last trip. Thank you to all the chaperones, Mr. M, and to all CKTV students. You guys is what made this trip so special and I will never forget it. Thanks for reading and hope you enjoyed! Talk to you later BYE!!! :)
Hey guys! Today was a special day! It was the closing ceremony!! A lot of people won a lot of different things. Spot feature won 1st place. That was Kaden, Brandon, and Kolten. PSA won 3rd place. That was Nicole, Alaysia, and Angeline. Broadcast won 1st honorable mention. And Film won 1st honorable mention. Everyone was pumped for this years STN closing ceremony. When any Hawaii school and Castaic won we screamed our
hearts out! This year was so fun and I'm glad I spent it with the CKTV Ohana! They made my trip extremely memorable!
After the closing ceremony we took pictures with the whole other Hawaii schools and some individually. After that we sped-walked to the lobby to find Castaic to say goodbye and take a group picture. They were the best!
After saying our goodbyes we said hello again to Fashion Valley mall. I went shopping for two hours and I bought some stuff. We also ate dinner at Cheesecake Factory. I ate a pasta with Alfredo sauce. We stayed there for a good amount of time then left. We went to the hotel room and did a quick briefing session. Later I went up to my room the check the equipment I had with Raine, Micah, Kelli, and Kaycee. After knowing we had all our equipment they left, and that about ends my day. Thanks for reading hope you enjoyed! Talk to you later BYE!!!! :)
Hey guys! Today after getting dressed and eating breakfast most of us went to or first break out session. The first one that we went to is the Hiki No session. This one talked about Hiki No, who they are, and what they do. They also showed Brandon's video! That was a huge plus! After that session we went to was a Nat. Sound packages vs. taped sound packages.
After that we all went to lunch. Later we went to a new session with Andrew Jenks. This was a Q&A session about film marketing and distribution. After that finished we quickly went to the Shhhh did you hear that? session. And the last one that we went to was just watching a video about school and it's safety. It was the a really great quality video and had fantastic points of few.
After that we all took a shower and headed to the party. The party got instantly packed and was SUPER FUN!!! And that about ends my day. Thanks for reading hope you enjoyed! Talk to you later BYE!!!! :)
Hey guys! Today was the day of our music video contest. We worked on this for almost the whole day. I feel that my team worked well. There was no fighting and we all shared our ideas. Once we got into the editing room me and Kelli was behind. We edited and it came out really good. Sadly while we were exporting time was up. Yes I know it stinks to turn in things late, trust me. Me and Kelli felt so bad. We did have support from our team, chaperones, Castaic Middle School, and Kauai High School. THANKS YOU GUYS SO MUCH!!
After that ordeal we went to something called the Middle school mixer. This is where all the middle schoolers meet new people middle schoolers and do a little scavenger hunt in the hotel. This was fun. Sadly my team didn't win.
After that craziness we headed to uncle Don's room so we could eat dinner. I had chicken Alfredo. And at the end of the day we went to the Excellence Ceremony. We didn't win anything, but Waianae won a lot so I'm happy that some Hawaii school won something. That then ended our video. Thanks for reading!!! Hope you enjoyed! Talk to you later! BYE!!!!! :)
Hey guys! Today was the first day of our competitions! Today was the Crazy Eights. If you don't know what Crazy Eights is then here's what it is: you have eight hours to complete either a short film or a broadcast. I was on broadcast today. My team which includes Dalson, Jezlene, and me had to do a commercial. My team was originally PSA, but Mr. M told us that with the topic: Historical San Diego, a PSA wouldn't really work. What we decided to do was to do a commercial of why people should come to San Diego, highlighting all the historical monuments.
I feel like my team worked well together. We didn't argue and we decided on what we should do while sharing all our ideas. And everyone was all ears to what the other person had to say. My team also didn't stress too much which came lead to failure.
It didn't take my team too much time to edit. Thanks to the teams that helped us get B roll like Kaycee, Kolten, Kaden, Alaysia, Nicole, and Raine. THANKS GUYS!!
After turning it in on time we cheered on Castaic middle school which are our best friends. Sadly they didn't make the deadline, but hey they tried and that's all that matters. And after that we walked to The Old Spaghetti Factory with Castaic. I ate Alfredo pasta and hung out with a lot of different people from Castaic like, my penpal: Alex, Hannah, Kayla, and Brock. It was really loud!
Later we walked back to our hotel for the STN opening ceremony. It was so epic and up beat and happy! I LOVED IT!!! Anyway that's what happened today! Thanks for reading hope you enjoyed! Wish Kelli, Kaycee, Raine, Micah, and I luck in our Music video contest! Talk to you later BYE!!!! :)
