Hey guys! For today's blog post I'm going to talk about Saturday. Now I know what you're thinking, "Saturday? Why is she going to talk about Saturday?" Well, on Saturday I filmed a hula show. Talk about stress! We filmed the show live. That is the thing that made it super stressful. I worked audio. This was really stressful because you don't know when the audio is going to spike up to the red. If it did spike up to the red then you would have to lower it down slowly. I know you're probably thinking what's so hard about that job? Well when you are doing recording live, you get terrified that you are going to screw up. I completely glued my face to the Tricaster screen. and kept my mouse on the audio adjuster. All in all we did pretty good! Thanks for reading!!!!!! Hope you enjoyed!!!! BYE!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
This is Dalson and I working the Tricaster for the hula show. (Team includes: Dalson, Kallen, Carter, Johnathan, and me.)
Hey guys! So for today's blog post I'm going to be talking about the actors we want to use in our videos. We don't have specific people that we want to use. (We need to make several videos so it's difficult to think of specific people that we want to use.) The people that we want to use would be from our media class. The reasons why we want to use people from our media class is because they know how to act in front of the camera. Also a lot of our students can act. And lastly our media students know how important the projects are.
The first reason why we want to use media students is because they know how to act in front of a camera. What I mean by that is, if a regular student were to act in front of a camera, they would act like.... well... a beginner. I don't blame them though. If I were to be asked to be in a video for the first time, I would be horrible! When you are in media you know how the person already wants you to act... so you do it.
Secondly, a lot of our students know how to act. Last year a lot of people acted for the different competitions. If you were to ask a student to act and they say yes. Maybe they won't really know how or want to at that time. When we did one of our first STN practice last year for music video I volunteered to act. That day I felt so uncomfortable acting. Anyone can change their mind easily about something.
Lastly, they know how important your project is. Usually when other people act they would fool around or not take it serious. But when you understand how important the project is than you would listen and do what they tell you to do.
Theses are the three reasons why we choose to have media students in our videos. They are more reliable. Hope you guys enjoyed! Thanks for reading!!!!!! BYE!!!!!!!! :)
Hey guys! So todays free-be blog is about the fall challenge that I did over spring break. This was a six day challenge. I did the website challenge. This challenge required us to build a multimedia website with the US Education format. I did this with Taylynn, kaycee, and Serena. It my sound easy... but it's everything but easy. The format was a bit difficult to work with. Also we had to do a lot of filming. So it was a bit difficult, but it was a good experience.
I bet you were wondering what I was talking about when I said that the format was difficult to work with, well the format of the website was like a Microsoft based format. I haven't used Microsoft in forever so it was a little hard. We did get passed it though.
I do have to say that we did a pretty good job on our website. We are up against High Schools though. Hope we win! If you want to check out the site you can click here! Thanks for reading!!!!!!! BYE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
Hey everyone! How was your Fall Break? Mine was great! Anyway, our blog topic today is things that we need to improve on from first quarter. Since we now finished our first quarter we need to look back on what we did and see what we need to improve on. The three things I feel that I need to improve on are time management, organization, and being more proactive.
Now the first thing I wanted to improve on was time management. Now usually I am a big procrastinator. Being a procrastinator in this class isn't a fantastic idea. Since you have due dates all the time being a procrastinator doesn't help at all! I defiantly have to work on that nasty habit.
The next thing I wanted to work on this quarter is my organization skills. Have you seen my binder!? It's like I just stuff everything I get into one pocket... oh wait, that is what I do? Do you see what I mean? In media it's even worse to not be organized. Have you ever lost your SD card because your bag was to messy? Well I have done that many times! (Sorry Mr. M for borrowing loads of your SD cards.) And it can get even worse... trust me!
The last thing I wanted to work on is being more proactive. Being proactive totally helps you in this class! This gets rid of procrastination completely!
These are the three things that I will try to work on this quarter! Having better time management, being more organized, and being more proactive. I'll try my best to break the old habits, and learn new good ones! What are you going to try and improve on? I'd like to know! Thanks for reading!!!!!!!!! BYE!!!!!!!!!!! :)
