Hey guys! So for today's blog post I'm going to talk to you guys about this cool video I came across. So this video is about an artist called Jeff Koons. He made a huge sculpture of a balloon dog out of stainless steal. What I liked about the video wasn't the fantastic balloon dog that you could ride on like a horse, but all the great shots that it had. There was loads of amazing shots. So many fade out, fade in, close ups, and all of the above. I really can't explain it. I think It's best if you just watch it. Click here to see the video. Thanks for reading! Hope you enjoyed! BYE!!!!!!!! :)
Here you can see the size and how amazing it looks!
Hey guys so for today's blog topic I'm going to write about three things that I'm thankful for. Okay the first thing that I am thankful for is having loving siblings. Second, fantastic friends. And lastly, to get into this great class.
The first thing that I'm thankful for is having loving and caring siblings. I have three other siblings, two twin brothers, and a sister. Look I know that all brothers and sisters fight sometimes (and that happens a lot around my house,) but we get along. My brothers and sister care for me so much. Thanks you guys!
The second thing that I'm thankful for is having great friends like, Nicole, Kaycee, Shealyn, Alaysia, Hailey, and more. They are always there for me. If I'm sad, they'll cheer me up. If I'm lonely, they'll hang out with me. You guys are the best friends that I have ever had! Thanks for being there for me!
And lastly, I'm thankful for getting in this class. Every year there are a lot of people that sign up for this class, but don't get in. I was lucky enough that I got into this class. If you are one of those that didn't get in, don't think that you aren't smart or anything like that. So many people sign up for this class. And there are other options out there. Don't give up!
The three things that I am thankful for are having loving siblings, having fantastic friends, and getting into this class. Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed! Talk to you later! BYE!!!!!!!!!!! :)
Here is a video one of my friends, Kaycee made when Nicole, her, and I were at the library!
Hope you enjoy! Thanks best friends!
Hey guys! So for today's post I'm going to write what the CKTV media class is. So first of all, CKTV means Chiefess Kamakahelei TV. What we do is create quarterly projects, two news stories, one PSA (public service announcements,) and one video of your choice. We also do our school broadcast with the leadership class. We operate all the technical equipment. And also we go to the mainland each year for the student television network media competition, also known as the STN media competition. Last year it was in the orange state, Orlando Florida. This year it's in San Diego California. What do we do at these competitions? Well, we compete against a whole lot of schools to make videos for these categories: music video, movie trailer, spot feature, commercial, and anchoring. You have to finish your video within six hours, it might sound easy but, it's really hard. Another thing that we do is write two blog posts each week. Our teacher Mr. Matsunaga has a website that we need to go on each week to see our blog topic, we also need to write a blog that has to be media related. Don't we do a lot just for kids? This class does help us prepare for the world ahead. Thanks for reading! Hope you enjoyed! BYE!!!!!!!!!!! :)
Hey guys! So for today's blog post our topic is about our do-overs. Everyone makes mistakes it's all part of being humans. I have made a lot of mistakes in the past. So one mistake that I would do-over is when I didn't do my blogs. Three reasons why I would love to go back and do-over that day is because that quarter I got a bad grade, that grade follows you everywhere, and lastly it's just not good.
First, I got a bad grade. So the grade that I got was a D. To me that's a bad grade. My mom and dad went off the wall! Trust me you don't want that to happen to you.
Secondly, this grade sticks with you everywhere. When you get a D it stays with you throughout your whole life. When you go to high school that grades still going to follow you. When you got to college that grade is going to stick with you. That D is going to stay in my file. For me that is a horrifying feeling.
Lastly, it's just not good. For my family D's just don't cut it. That grade is going to stick with me all my life! I'm going to have that all my life because I didn't want to do five simple paragraphs a week. Here's a tip for all you newbies, don't be like me. DO YOUR BLOGS!
Sadly there is no magic rewind button for our mistakes. Take it from me, that was my first D. Try thinking before you do something to avoid wishing there was a rewind button for our mistakes. Thanks for reading! Make sure you do your blogs! BYE!!!!!!!! :)
Hey guys! Have you ever imagined your favorite story book characters in real life? Well, this show did a fantastic job of doing that! You might be wondering what show I'm talking about., well here's your answer: Once Upon A Time. I am literally OBSESSED (thanks Kaycee)! Okay I don't want to spoil anything, but stop here because I might spoil everything. Okay this show is about all your favorite story book characters, like snow white, sleeping beauty, captain Hook, and way more in real life. The story of this show is that the evil queen from Snow White cast a curse on all the fairy-tale characters.... or so you think. The curse is supposed to make all the characters forget who they are. Before the curse hit, Snow White and her husband, Prince Charming put there baby girl Emma into a magic wardrobe and sent her to a place where the curse wouldn't hit, in other words our world. Years later Emma had a son named Henry. She put him up for adoption and guess who adopted Henry the evil queen. The evil queen zapped her self to our world to watch after all the fairly-tale characters and make sure her curse wasn't broken. Henry knows about the curse though and wants to help get rid of it. That's all I'm going to say now before I spoil everything. Thanks for reading! Hope you enjoyed! BYE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
Here's a picture of season two. You guys should watch it. It's on Netfilx!
Here's a trailer of season one. Hope you enjoy!
Hey guy! So for today's blog post I'm going to talk about the team I want to be on this year for STN or the student television network media competition. Last year I was in the music video competition. My team was Nicole, Lindsey (In 9th grade now), and Kelli. We won 2nd place. And this year I want to be in the same competition! Okay three reasons why I want to be in the music video again. First, I was in it last year. Secondly, I love music. And lastly, I enjoyed being on that team all together!
The first reason why I want to be on the music video team is because I was in it last year. This makes me know a lot about this contest. I also know how to manage time so that we finish on time. We all know that time is key!
Secondly, I love music! Music fills me with bright ideas, and when there is a idea in that contest everyone is open to it.... as long as it's not to drastic. Music is basically my life. Everyday I sing or listen to it.
Lastly, last year I enjoyed being on that team. I liked listening to the music and try to make a story out of it. It's really challenging, but at the same time it's enjoyable. And I liked the people on the team as well.
These are the three reasons why I want to be in the music video contest this year. I can't wait to see what contest you guys want to know. Thanks for reading hope you enjoyed!! BYE!!!!!!!!!! :)
Here is a picture of us last year when we won 2nd place in Orlando. Florida! On the far left is Nicole, next to Nicole is Kelli, on the far right is me (Don't I look different?), and next to me is Lindsey.
Hey guys so for today's blog post I'm going to write about our second craft fair and our first zumbathon! So on Saturday we did a zumbathon. Who knew Zumba was so hard. They were going too fast for my liking. But I'd say that it was a success. Loads of people came out to support us. (Thanks!) Also we had a second craft fair. As for our second craft fair I think it was a success as well. We sold a lot of Mexican, butter, and garlic corn! (Thanks Mr. And Mrs. Gusman!) And we had many people come both the Zumbathon and the craft fair. Anyway that's how I felt about both the craft fair and zumbathon. Thanks for reading! Hope you enjoyed! BYE!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
Hey guys! So for today's blog post I'm going to write about where we are at for our second quarter project. As some of you know me and my partner Serena is working on a different video, so what i'm going to write about will be a bit different to what my other class-mates will write. I think we are a little behind. We have 40 days in order to get this project finished. Three reasons why I feel we are behind is that we just started our scripts. Also we didn't film yet. And as for what we are going to do for the week we are going to work hard at getting our script approved and getting our actors together.
So the first thing that I feel that makes me behind is that I we just stated on our script. I know that everyone is probably starting on or near starting on their script, but for us the first step of our project is to do a script. We are almost finished with it, but still while everyone else is on their second step we are on our first.
Secondly, we didn't start filming yet. Of course since we didn't get our scripts approved yet we can't film yet. While everyone is filming we didn't start. This really stresses me out!
As for what we are going to do over this week, we are going to work super hard to get our script done and to try and get to filming.
So guys we are a little off track but I'm sure we can get back on track. Thanks for reading!!!!! Wish us luck! BYE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
Hey guys for this weeks free blog I'm going to write about our first community service day, which was November 1st, Saturday! We cleaned up Lydgate Beach. We helped for two hours. We cleaned up the service of the beach like by the pavilions and trees. We also cleaned up the sand as well. The sand was the hardest to clean up. We had to pick out the little pieces of plastic in the sand, and when I say pick I mean actually pick it out with our fingers. This was so hard because there was so many sand and so many plastic! We did make the beach cleaner though! Thanks 8th graders for organizing the beach clean up. Even though it was hard work it was fun! Thanks for reading!!!!!!! BYE!!!!!! :)
If you don't know what or where Lydgate beach is than you can click here!
Hey guys! So for today's blog post I'm going to write about what makes me happy! Okay so three things that make me happy are animals, music, and family and friends.
Okay the first thing that makes me happy are animals. As some of you know I own a cat. His name is Amore, or Ske as we like to call him. I love all animals. It doesn't matter whether it's a cat, dog, or fox! The reason why animals bring me joy is because they are fun to play with and pet. All animals amaze me! The way that they don't really need ttooo care about anything! I wish I was a dog or cat. No care in the world! But I can't complain, at least I have thumbs.
The next thing that makes me happy is music. I know I have wrote about music a BILLION times, but hey music is one thing I love! If the world was without I don't know what I'd do?! Music is basically my life to a Tee.
The last thing that makes me happy is family and friends. Family and friends make me happy because they always have your back. If you need help, they will help you. If you feeling down, they'll cheer you up. Family and friends are a big part of my life. They care so much for me!
These are the three things that make me happy. What makes you happy? Anyway, thanks for reading! BYE!!!!!!!!!!! :)
This is my cat Amore or Ske! This is a super up-beat song that I truly
Isn't he adorable!!!!!! love!
Hope you like it! (Gold- Britt Nicole)
