The first thing that I want to do over the summer is the to work on my procrastination. I'm going onto high school next year so this is a big one for me. High school isn't the time to be playing around. College rides on a lot of things that you do in high school and for me, procrastination is a huge bad habit for me. Like media, in high school you have a lot of classes and, depending on what teacher you get, late work isn't accepted. So me being the queen of procrastination, I have to cut that out of my life for good.
Another thing that I wanted to work on over the summer is my time management skills. I'm horrible at time management (the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree, does it dad?). And in media you have to be good at managing your time in order to get your projects done on time. You have to be able to plan your interviews, when you're going to get your actors and actresses, and so many other things. And in high school you are getting to be more independent. Meaning that you are responsible for things like what time you wake up in the morning to get to school on time to things like what time you are going start on your social studies project in order to get it in on time. Which coincides with grades. Late project, depending on what teacher you have, can lower grade significantly.
And finally, I want to work on doing the best work that I can do. Here at CKTV we have a moto, "Don't just be good. Be great." This goes for anything, media projects to school work and even to just cleaning up your room. When you doing something great you exceed expectation and that's something that I want to do in high school. On class projects and even my grades in general. I really want to get all A's next year for my freshman year. So in doing a great job and not just a good job can really help me with the my goal.
To conclude, during the summer I want to better myself for high school by, being less of a procrastinator, getting better at time management skills, and I want to make sure that I do the greatest job I can in high school. Anyway talk to you guys later and hope you enjoyed reading. Peace ya'll! :)
